Greek and Egyptian

Ideas:
The differences and similarities between how religions thinks the world was created?

Greek:

This is a brochure about Greek mythology and what they think the world was created. This brochure will tell you about how there was nothing but empty darkness. Then a Big bird with black wing known as Nyx appeared and laid a golden egg. Also how the first three gods were made. There was Eros, Gaia, and uranus. Eros made Gaia and uranus fall in love and soon after they had kid. The kids were Hecatoncheires, Titans, and Cyclops. It will also tell you a little about the war and who became the god of gods, and it has a short story about Pandora. It also shows the name of each god/person the way they look in greek. The difference between Egyptian and greek mythology is a lot because one thinks that there was water and a god name Nun and out of Nun land started, but for greek mythology there was nothing in the begging.

Egyptian:
This Brochure is about Egytian mythology and what they think the world was created. This brochure will tell you about how there was only water, a chaos of churning, bubbling water and that they called it Nu or NUN. This brochure show that Nun was more like the mother of all because Nun made lands, gods and other living things. The difference between Egyptian and greek mythology is a lot because one think that there was nothing but endless darkness and then a big bird came and laid an egg and out of that egg life started, but in egyptian mythology there was water and a god name Nun.

  • Before there was earth or sea or heaven, there existed only chaos: shapeless, unorganized, lifeless matter. There was no sun, no moon, and no air. Elements existed, but they had neither form nor character. The earth was without firmness, the water without fluidity, and the sky without light.

  • . As is the case with most ancient mythologies, the Egyptians created myths to try to explain their place in the cosmos. Their understanding of the cosmic order was from direct observation of nature. Therefore their creation myths concern themselves with gods of nature; the earth, the sky, the sun, the moon, the stars, and of course, the Nile river.

3) Short reflective paragraph: How does this source add to your project? What might you write about this source in your brochure?

This is something good information because it tells me a lot of how Egyptians think the world was made. They think that in the beginning there was only water, chaos, and bubbling water that they named Num or Nu.

4) What is the next step in your research?
My next step is to find what other websites have to say about the beginning of the world.

Reflection:
For Egyptian mythology says that in the beginning there was only water, a chaos of churning, bubbling water and that they called it Nu or Nun. Nun was what created lands, gods and other beings.
For Greek mythology it said that The was nothing but darkness and then a big bird appeared laid a egg and then three things were made from that egg. Those two of them had children and then grandchildren. There was a war after that war was over humans and animals began to live.
I choose this topic because I have a beep passion for Greek and Egyptian mythology. I learn that the world was created different depending in what you believe in.
I feel that I worked on it for to long and it just didn't come out the way i wanted it to be. My strengths are that I knew what I was writing about. My weakness was that I might have some grammar problems.
